How To Clean Really Dirty Laminate Flooring

Ideally, my kitchen would not come complete with white, ceramic tile flooring. More than over, my dream kitchen would be void of floor which possesses whatsoever porous characteristics (crevices if you will), and that has been neglected for God knows how long. But since I have not nonetheless won the lottery, I had to brand the best of the situation. Materials for Cleaning Filthy Muddy Tile Floor

tile cleaner (I used this one)
scrub brush
rubber gloves
mop
grout paint (I used this ane)
former toothbrush (note: if your grout lines are smaller, you lot may need to use a small craft, paint brush)
paper towels or rags

Typically, I tend to lean on the granola side of the spectrum when purchasing home and dazzler products , simply I knew I was going to have to go into hardcore, industrial-strength mode if I wanted to make clean upward not only the dirt, but the grout haze; and my normal regimen of lavender infused vinegar simply wasn't going to cut information technology.

Annotation: I was a moron and worked on the grout lines before scrubbing the floors to remove the dirt and grout haze. So if the pictures are confusing (you will see dirt in the crevices on my progress photos, but clean-looking grout lines…that is why). Please don't exist equally moronic as I was…I will arraign it on mommy brain.

STEP i: Working in small sections, I literally just poured a small corporeality of the tile cleaner directly onto the floor, and with a rough scrub brush, which I dampened with water, scrubbed in a circular movement. Working upwards a lather, the clay and grout remnants began to magically misemploy….it was so freaking fulfilling!!! I worked section by section.

The all-time thing nigh this tile cleaner is that it didn't accept an smell. However, I was sure to wear rubber gloves and worked on the project while my little ones were in Mother's Solar day out. It was a bit of a pain removing the lather from the product alone, only if information technology delivers effective results…I don't listen.

**Allow me also note that this tile cleaner may not be suitable for all types of flooring. However, I can say it worked wonders on this white, ceramic tile. **

Pace 2: Later scrubbing and removing the dirt, I cleaned the product off with a wet mop. Voila!

Footstep iii: Next were the grout lines to tackle. Using this grout product and an old toothbrush, I but painted the white colour back onto the grout lines. If your grout lines are tighter, you may need to apply a small-scale, craft paint brush to employ the product. It took me about two.5 hours to complete the entire kitchen, but it dramatically brightened up the space.

Tip: Go on a damp rag handy just in case yous exit of the lines.

And don't fifty-fifty go me started on what an ordeal it was merely to keep my floors clean long enough to take these "afterward" photos. For some reason, my eighteen-month-old has adamant the all-time manner to communicate that he is done with his repast, is by dumping his entire plate of nutrient onto the floor (similar… every…single…repast…without fail, friends).

And then my advice to you (peculiarly if you lot have pets and children) is to never install white, textured tile floor. Only, if that is what you are stuck with, you tin make them wait similar new with a footling elbow grease.

****Update four-24-eighteen*** Okay, guys…I take some follow up news for you regarding my kitchen floors. While this cleaning method was highly effective at giving my former tile floors a fresh, new look, the trouble is that the tiles and grout will eventually get dirty again. I basically decided that white tiles and white grout are simply too high-maintenance for my muddy life (pets, kids, sheer laziness).
